WALK-IN CLOSET ORGANIZING
BEFORE
This is how we started. We deconstructed and reconstructed this whole closet piece by piece. And the result is amazing. The rewards of Organizing. Note the difference between BEFORE and AFTER, how does that make you feel?

AFTER
Here we have started rebuilding the system. Jackets, tops and dresses. So easy to find what she needs NOW.

AFTER
Here we focused on smaller items that needed to be folded and shoes. Even some favorite books found a home.

THE AFTERMATH
Here you can see the extreme difference in visuals, how much calmer this closet now looks, how much easier to find what you need and enjoy visiting it every day. The benefits of an organized space are many, including health benefits. Try it.

APARTMENT ORGANIZING
KITCHEN - When life is busy things get left behind! This apartment needed a reset to a peaceful and relaxing place to return to at the end of a long day. Here are the Before and After. This is the Kitchen Island area. Every single item was returned to it's proper "home" if it did not have one I gave it one.
DINING AREA. Everything has been removed, categorized and organized back to where it belonged, or a home has been created for items to reside in and quickly be found when needed. It not only looks better but now it can be used for its intended purpose, which is not... storage.
COAT CLOSET. Before and After. Coat closet restored back to order. Everything has a home and easy to find.
ENTRYWAY - Order restored in a most important area, the entryway. It is the first thing that greats you as you walk in. It says "Welcome!".
LIVING ROOM - Again everything was sorted out, categorized and properly hung in its dedicated section of the closet. Couch is now free for TV watching and relaxing.
MASTER CLOSET- Where BEFORE it would have been impossible to find anything, AFTER makes it easy to see where everything is, areas are clearly defined making it easy to get an outfit together in no time.
REPURPOSING A SMALL CABINET
BEFORE AND AFTER of a small repurposed cabinet as stand alone pantry. This client did not have space for a pantry in her kitchen but needed space to accommodate extras, especially on shopping days. Her kitchen cabinets were too congested making it difficult to find and access items, thus food often expired before they were able to use it. During our walk-through of the house I spotted this small cabinet that had no specific use and suggested we repurpose it, and voila`, instant pantry. Sometimes a pair of fresh eyes can see what you cannot, once you become used to your surroundings you are blind to change. It is not only eye pleasing (without the added price tag, no fancy containers) it is also conveniently categorized. We placed snacks at the bottom so small kids have access to it, without climbing on chairs or counters to get to them, which was the case before. Happy Client!!
JEWELRY ORGANIZING
BEFORE AND AFTER of organized costume jewelry. Because we dove right into it and it was dark and rainy I forgot to take the actual picture of the before, but it looked like the first picture you see here. It was a box full of knotted (literally) jewelry and accessories. After looking for various solutions, we separated the valuable jewelry from the costume ones, placed the more valuable ones in a small jewelry box, and the costume ones in organza bags, since these were rarely used. The bags will allow the client to see the content and at the same time keep all pieces separated and untangled. Hanging or displaying was not an option because seldom used items collect dust. The bag system allowed us to pair sets as well, some of the necklaces had matching earrings. We used these 2 boxes that were already available, but you can use a drawer or any other space. Don't they look pretty? Much better than a tangled mess!!
MORE WALK-IN CLOSETS
BEFORE & AFTER
This is HIS side of the closet and it needed just a little improvement, since there was no clear category. Look how much better it looks. It will also be much easier to locate what he wants to wear today ;-)

BEFORE & AFTER of a beautiful closet. When you have family, kids, work and so much more it tends to get hectic and things get a bit out of hand. Organizing gives you back your peace and finding your clothes will be a breeze. Nothing was removed and yet there is much more space.
Another beautiful California closet, just my trusty phone decided not to collaborate today :-( Before and After are a bit blurry I apologize... sometimes life happens... :-)
Here we started to create individual sections for each type of garments. You can see jeans, and long skirts and pants. Where before there was just a mish mash of items.
This is the other side of the closet, you might not be able to see much, but after removing everything, we sorted by category and what was decided to keep went back in, color coded for easy identification. It might not seem much but Rainbow colors bring an instant happy look.
It could happen to any of us for a variety of reason. Family issues, busy work schedules, lack of skills, temporary health issues, and more. Life throws you road blocks, but they can be overcome. This shows you it can be all brought back to pristine conditions.
This dresser was a little burdened with debris, we worked on restoring it's appeal.
This corner was feeling a little abandoned, due to frequent travelling the family had little time to address it.Here it is showing its full potential.
Again this corner was also forgotten due to no time and frequent travel. It is now serving its intended purpose.
Doesn't this little dresser look pretty with all the books available on top?
Closets are your best friend if you utilize the space optimally. And we left some space for clothes in the wash.
Working in a beautiful Walk In Closet, that just needed a little TLC was such a FUN experience.
"HIS" side. There was no clear category on this side of the closet. I worked to create specific areas for each type of clothing to make it easier and quicker to identify what the Man of the house might need to get dressed in the morning, having it color coded helps identify items even more quickly. This is a very visual system, and it's easy to maintain once set in place.

Before and After of a Supply Closet that just needed a little TLC. No additional purchase added - repurposed boxes and bin on hand.
A Beauty supplies and Hair Care products closet before and after. The family can now locate exactly what they need at first glance, there is a bin for hair care, one for lotions, first aid etc., and afterwards there was still available space for the family to add other items if needed.
Reconfiguring a Junk Drawer - Before and After
This was done without purchasing anything, just repurposed what was in the home.

The always feared Under the Sink area - Before and After
This was done without the purchase of any products/items, but still the family can now find what they need, everything is visible.

Kitchen cabinet Before and After - A place where it was difficult to find a specific category or purpose, reconfigured to help identify items by category. Asian Cuisine - Condiments etc.
Before and After of another cabinet, without using any additions. Now all of the spices found in the kitchen are on the bottom shelf, and breakfast items on the middle shelf. Sandwich making and straws on top shelf.
It might seem like a subtle change, but upon closer inspection you will notice that order was created, and items shelved by category.
Less time consuming to find what you need to make dinner.

Working with a limited amount of containers this double closet was sectioned in more manageable areas. Top shelf with all the baking supplies found in the kitchen, Bottom shelf has Teas, grains and other grouped items. If a category has not enough items in it, it can't have a whole shelf on its own unless you have a very large kitchen. Some baskets would have helped to bring the look together.
A little rearranging in this cabinet allowed more pots to be stored in here, that were previously sitting on the counter.
Socks drawer - Additional space was created just by folding properly and rearranging. Much easier to see and find what you need, for a quicker way to get ready in the morning.

A drawer that would not close. Neat way to fit everything in one drawer, for a guest that has limited amount of clothing and space.

Organizing T-shirts on a dark and rainy day. No matter what we did, this is the most light we could get, but we were able to fit many more t-shirt in this dresser drawer.
